On the 29th of June Search Engine Land published an article titled ‘Use Googe Analytics to stop wasting remarketing dollars on people who just aren’t that into you’.

Written by columnist Susan Waldes, the article gives 3 strategies to help you ensure that your remarketing efforts are targeting potential customers only.

Using these tips effectively Waldes promises that you will improve your click-through rate (CTR), stop pursuing disinterested users and ensure that Google’s algorithm isn’t serving your ad to dead-ends.

On the 30th of June the Washington Post published an article titled ‘Always click the first Google result? You might want to stop doing that.’

In this article the WP discusses a highly critical new paper by data scientists at Yelp who say that Google manipulates local search results to favour sites associated with Google and its advertising.

“The results suggests that Google is making a strategic choice to display their own content, rather than choosing results that consumers would prefer,” the paper claims.

The WP article explores the highlights and closes by discussing the paper’s validity.
